Assoc. Prof. Alper Serdar ANLI was born on November 7, 1977 in Ankara. In 2000, he graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation. He completed his master’s degree in 2003 and his doctoral degree in 2009 at Ankara University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation. In 2005, he attended “Advanced Course on Pressurized Irrigation Systems for Intensive Crop Production” in Shefayim, State of Israel for 37 days with MASHAV scholarship. In 2008, he attended “International Summer School on Hydrological Drought and Global Change” in Trieste, Italy for a week with the scholarship of The Abdus Salam ICTP. He received the title of Associate Professor in Ankara University in 2016 where he worked as Research Assistant in the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation. He has numerous international and national researches on Statistical Hydrology, Hydroclimatology, Agrometeorology, Drought and Floods, Design of Hydraulic Structures and Design of Irrigation and Drainage Systems. He is a member of many international and national organizations and associations related to his field. He has been the Vice Head of the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation since May 2018 and the Deputy Director of the Water Management Institute (ENSTİTÜSU) since July 2018. He is married and has one daughter.
